Multidisciplinary community artists Mama Sallah Jenkins and Unique Robinson will activate Baltimore’s historic “Cathedral of Books” through poetry, spoken word, and music inspired by the legacy and work of pioneering textile artist Elizabeth Talford Scott. Performative activations will begin at 5:30pm, followed by a reception. This event is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Reverberations: Disruption and Healing Through the Hands of Elizabeth Talford Scott, on view through April 18 at Johns Hopkins University’s George Peabody Library, and the Baltimore City-wide NoStoneLeftUnturned: The Elizabeth Talford Scott Initiative.
